Most Common Error Codes (All Models)

• tS / tE / tF / tO: Temperature / thermistor fault – check vent duct for blockages; clean lint filter & exhaust; thermistor may need replacement.
• dE / dE / DC / dF: Door not closed properly – ensure door latches fully; clean door seal/latch area; replace door switch if clicking but not locking.
• 9C1 / 9C / HC / 9C2: High current / heating issue – check 240V breaker (both legs must be ON for electric); gas models: check gas supply & igniter.
• AE / AE5 / AE6: Communication error (Smart models) – reset by unplugging 5 min; check Wi-Fi connection; ensure 2.4 GHz network.
• 5C / 5E / SC: Drain pump / condensate issue (ventless/heat pump models) – empty condensate tank; check drain hose not kinked; clean pump filter.
• DC / dC / Ub / UE: Unbalanced load – redistribute clothes evenly; avoid single heavy items; run smaller loads if needed.

Smart & Bespoke Models (2023–2025)

• Wi-Fi not connecting: Hold Smart Control / Wi-Fi button 3 sec; reset router to 2.4 GHz only; use SmartThings app to reconnect.
• “Optimal Dry” / AI Dry not accurate: Run calibration mode first (hold Temp + Time for 7 sec on some models); ensure lint filter is clean.
• Touch controls frozen: Unplug 10 min; if persists, enter service mode (Power + Temp + Time for 7 sec on many models).

Common Issues & Fixes

• Clothes still wet / long drying times: Clean lint filter after every load; vent duct must be cleaned yearly (professional recommended); check for kinks/restrictions.
• No heat (electric): Verify 240V breaker (both sides ON); test heating element & thermal fuse if breaker is good.
• No heat (gas): Ensure gas valve is ON; check igniter glows (visible through door hole); may need gas valve or igniter service.
• Loud noise / thumping: Level dryer with adjustable feet; check for loose objects in drum; ensure shipping bolts removed (new installs).
• Vent sensor alert / Check Vent: Clean entire vent system from dryer to outside; restricted airflow is #1 cause of poor performance & fire risk.
